Subaru Forester
The Forester is one of Australia’s most popular AWD SUVs, and it has the deepest coverage in our Subaru range with products spanning over two decades.
Bonnet protectors for the Forester go all the way back to the 2000-2002 model with a stone chip guard, then the 2002-2007 generation, the 2008-2012 model (available as both a stone chip guard and a combo pack with weathershields), and the 2012-2018 model (again with both a stone chip guard and a combo pack). The 2013-2018 year range also has a standalone stone chip guard option. That kind of depth means you can find bonnet protection for nearly every Forester that is still on Australian roads today.
Weathershields for the current generation Forester (2018-2025) come in two profile options: standard and thick profile. The standard set sits closer to the window line for a subtler appearance, while the thick profile extends further outward and provides more shelter when the windows are cracked open. This is one of the few vehicles in our range where you get that choice, so it is worth looking at both options to decide which profile suits your preference.
The Forester is a vehicle that handles everything from daily commutes to weekend camping trips, and both accessories suit that kind of mixed use. A bonnet protector catches the stone chips and bug splatter that accumulate on highway drives, while weathershields let you keep fresh air moving through the cabin during rain without getting the interior wet. For owners who drive their Forester in all seasons and conditions, these are simple upgrades that make a noticeable difference over time.
Outback, XV and Crosstrek
The rest of our Subaru range covers three popular AWD models with weathershields.
The Subaru Outback has weathershield sets for two generations. The 5th generation wagon (2015-2020) and the current model (2020-2023) are both covered. The Outback is a favourite among families and road trippers who want a capable wagon without going full 4×4, and weathershields are a practical fit for a vehicle that spends a lot of time on the highway and in varying weather.
The Subaru XV (2017-2024) has tinted weathershields available. The XV sits in the compact crossover space and is a common choice for buyers who want all-wheel drive capability in a smaller package. Weathershields suit this type of daily driver well, particularly in climates where rain is frequent and you want the option to keep the windows open for airflow.
The Subaru Crosstrek (2022-2024) rounds out the range with a weathershield set. The Crosstrek is the successor to the XV in Subaru’s lineup, and we have made sure the new model name is covered as it arrives on Australian roads.
Subaru owners tend to keep their vehicles for a long time, and the AWD system means these cars get used in conditions where rain, mud and gravel are part of everyday driving. Bonnet protectors and weathershields are low-cost accessories that protect the paint and improve comfort over years of ownership, making them a worthwhile addition regardless of which Subaru model you drive.
