Standalone side steps are designed purely for cabin access without the added brush bar. Sometimes called running boards, these are a clean option for vehicles where side protection is less of a priority or where the body style does not suit a full brush bar. We currently stock these for the Toyota LandCruiser 79 Series (both single cab and dual cab), the Kia Tasman and the Nissan Patrol GU. If your vehicle spends most of its time on sealed roads and you just want a handy step, these are a great fit.
You might also come across powered running boards that automatically extend when you open the door and retract when it is closed. Those are a different product category altogether.
